The Kidz
Kabaret
Story
Kidz
Kabaret is a non-profit children’s theater education
group. We began in 2003 with 18 passionate students
desiring to learn the craft of acting and singing.
Under the leadership of founder and Creative Director
Kandiss Hernandez, a professional and degreed actor,
Kidz Kabaret has grown to over 300 students annually.
Kidz
Kabaret has a “no-audition” policy. Every child is
welcome, regardless of experience, and we strongly
believe in putting “every child center stage”. Our
programs allow students to develop at their own pace
with nurturing and encouragement, and we enjoy watching
their confident and passion blossom.
Our
students learn all aspects of developing a show, from
marketing to make-up. We are dedicated to presenting
outstanding professional productions to audiences from
Naperville and the surrounding area; we produce an
average of ten to twelve productions each year at The
Comedy Shrine in downtown Naperville. Many of our plays
are written by Hernandez, making our shows unique and
only seen by our audiences.
Whether children are watching in the audience or
performing on stage, the experience of live theater
helps shape and define their lives. We encourage you to
come to our shows and see what we are all about.
