Dear Kidz Kabaret families,

We were notified that one of our employees ​received a positive COVID-19 test this morning, July 31.  The employee is not currently showing any symptoms. We are notifying all parents and students that they may have had exposure to the sick individual ​only ​because of the numerous common areas (entrances/exits, lobby, main stage, hallways, etc.). ​ ​​​​It is unlikely that your child was directly exposed​ to this individual.​  According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), persons who were in contact with the individual two days prior to a positive test result (July 29​-​July 30) may be considered close contacts.​ ​ Since IDPH states that close contacts should quarantine for 14 days after​ ​last exposure, the building is closed through August 16th in order for a professional team to deep clean and disinfect.

We have employed safety measures and have continually reinforced CDC guidelines to the best of our abilities.  We will continue to communicate via email as we will not be in the building on a regular basis.  We appreciate your patience during this very difficult and complicated time.  We will provide more information in the upcoming days.

Registration for our fall programs remains open with contingencies in place.  For those that prefer, we have virtual options via Zoom too!  I want to assure you that we are taking all the necessary safety precautions as outlined by the Illinois Department of Public Health; i.e, safe distancing markers, hand sanitizer stations, masks are required, limited classroom sizes, non-contact digital thermometer forehead scan upon entering, etc.  Your children and your families remain my first priority.

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by COVID-19, including those diagnosed with the virus, all of the caregivers at home and in health care and those whose job or school has been affected.   We are all living through a time of great uncertainty when we do not know exactly what will come in the weeks and months ahead.  During these times, it is as important as ever to remember what matters most and what inspires all of the work we do at Kidz Kabaret…family.
